                        St. Paul’ Parish Narowal is very old one in the Archdiocese of Lahore. It was established by the great Capuchin missionaries from Belgium. Fr. Marshal Rodger (became the Bishop of Lahore later) bought a piece of land in 1942, before the partition of the land and Pakistan. Before this, it was part of St. Roque’s parish Pasrur. After purchasing the piece of land a parish house and a church was being constructed.

             On the 12th October 1924 the parish church was consecrated by the bishop of Lahore. On 15th December 1924 the priest in charge of this parish left Pasrur and started residing at the new parish house in Narowal.

At the moment, there are 12 catechist centers, divided into blocks of villages. Each center compromises of 15 to 30 villages. There are 12 catechists serving this parish along with two priests. There is also one convent, where Christ the King Missionaries, sisters are rending their services in the field of education and health. Up to now 35 priests have served this parish in short and long terms among whom two have become the bishops of the archdiocese of Lahore. There are 270 villages scattered in a big geographical area. Geographically this is the biggest parish in the archdiocese of Lahore. There are 2335 Catholic families at the moment in this parish.
